SHIELD HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES READERS’ CHOICE CONTEST WINNERS
Valencia, CA – Shield HealthCare, a leading provider of medical supplies for care at home, is pleased to announce its 1st annual Readers’ Choice Award Winners. Shield HealthCare received a record number of caregiver stories in the 11th annual “What Makes Caregiving Rewarding?” story contest. With 580 amazing, inspirational stories received and 8 winners chosen in the original contest, the Readers’ Choice Awards was the perfect way to invite the community to participate and select their favorite from the 12 contest finalists.
Congratulations to the top 3 Readers’ Choice winners, selected by the voting public:

- Carol L. of Topeka, KS, caregiver for her mother with dementia
- Debra B. of Enid, OK, professional caregiver
The Readers’ Choice winners received $150 in American Express Gift Checks and will have their stories posted on the Shield HealthCare caregiver community website and on their Facebook page to share. Shield HealthCare’s “What Makes Caregiving Rewarding” story contest is designed to recognize, reward and listen to the voice of caregivers and home healthcare professionals. A significant number of Shield HealthCare’s customers are at-home family caregivers, tending to a loved one with a chronic medical condition including special needs children and aging parents.
