On Denver 9News (NBC) experts on a variety of topics are regularly invited to offer on-air advice on the “9 Line” phones, where viewers call in with questions. As a member of the Colorado Dietetic Association, Shield HealthCare’s very own Registered Dietitian, Elizabeth was invited to return to broadcast on March 8, 2012 to give advice to callers on childhood obesity and diabetes and raise awareness of Colorado Registered Dietitians.
Tune in to 9News on March 8th from 6:00 am to 7:30 am to learn more about nutrition and healthy eating to combat childhood obesity and diabetes. The 9LINE phone number is 303-698-0999, to call in and ask Elizabeth a question.
In her November 2011 appearance, Elizabeth received many different types of questions from callers ranging from weight loss tips and tricks to managing diabetes and cholesterol.
At Shield HealthCare, Registered Dietitians monitor the nutrition needs of tube-fed patients through an inclusive Enteral Nutrition Support Program. The program includes patient assessment, wellness checks, quarterly nutrition screenings and direct communication with the primary physician. The end results are fewer hospital readmissions, improved enteral nutrition tolerance and better patient compliance to the nutrition prescription.
Customers are always welcome to ask a Shield HealthCare Registered Dietitian a question here in the comments box or on our Facebook page.
