Shield HealthCare, a leading provider of home-delivered medical supplies, is launching its 21st Annual Caregiver Story Contest! This year, we’re asking caregivers: “How Has Caregiving Inspired You?”
Our annual Caregiver Story Contest is an opportunity to honor all those who support and care for loved ones managing chronic medical needs. The contest runs from Nov. 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024. Three grand prize winners will win $1,000 and an engraved plaque for sharing their story, and five runners-up will win a $250 Visa Gift Card.
How Has Caregiving Inspired You?
This year, we are asking caregivers: “How has caregiving inspired you?” We invite you to share your story with us in 300 words or more.
For all those who have been called to care, managing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of another person can be a life-changing experience that inspires passion, joy, and personal growth. Some approaches to sharing your inspiration may include:
- How has caregiving challenged you to be creative?
- How do you set personal boundaries as a caregiver?
- How has your dedication to caregiving benefited your community?
These are just some suggestions – there is no right or wrong answer to how caregiving has inspired you.
Prizes
The top three Grand Prize Winners of Shield’s caregiver story contest will each receive a $1,000 Visa Gift Card and an engraved wall plaque. Five Runners-Up will each receive a $250 Visa Gift Card and a personalized award certificate. Shield will publish the winning and finalist entries on Shield’s community site, a widely-visited educational resource for caregivers, patients, and healthcare professionals.
